i can help scooter explain the connections a little...
a D-sub is a typical computer connection... in this case, the D-sub input is actually the visual input from a computer (aka hook the blue cable into your TV) the hazard of this is alot of Dsub ports on TV's and projectors do not support the super high resolution that we have grown to love... the good news, if you are like me, you can force your TV/projector to take a higher resolution and you can strech and modify the picture with very little if any visual degradation! :)
aka, i bought a brand new projector yesterday... it cannot support my 1280-1024 so i changed my native resolution to 1280x960 or something, streched my outputs from digital port two, and BAM! 110" computer screen on my wall! :) it is possible... :)
would be alot easier on this TV as i beleive it can support upto a 1800 x 1200 rez :)
