all of my friends that have rumors have had problems with their rumors. id stay away from it/.
-
All right well my girlfriend has a rumor and im not entirely sure of it either. Thanks though

Fido 100% fido... i moved to Fido and i love it. ARn't those the "free" phones? Go with one of the ones you have to pay $50-100 for with the contract, they're more worth it...
-
FIDO!!!! The have amazing plans, and like admin said shell out some money for a better phone, it'll benefit you in the long run.
-
the Krzer is 25 with the plan but i dont like the looks of the other ones
-
The Sony Ericsson W380a is decent, as well I believe Fido carries the Samsung Jack.
-
well how are krzers? are they worth it or too fragile? i'm going to text the **** out of it so the phone has to be good for texting
-
Don't like the KRZR at all, then again I've never really liked the razr/krzr series, there UI is sluggish. I'd go with a sony. Plus the w380a is a walkman phone so you can listen to music and all that good stuff, where as the krzr isn't really designed for that.
My opinion I would go with the sony hands down.
-
well it looks like im getting the krzr just my preference and alot of my friends like em if anyone besides ray lol doesn't think i should im most likely going with it
-
Don't get the krzr. I have had a few friends buy them, break them in a week, and hated how flimsy they are
-
Be sure to tell them you want to not pay "system access fees", due to a case out east, the courts determained that it was a hidden and unfair fee, and companys can no longer charge it. However, many still do, and it doesnt end up on your bill, Fido is one of the companys that do this I think. Its not much, but why pay for something your not supposed to?
And if you didnt know about this, make sure you call your provider, and opt out of that fee. And yes, this is legit, my old man is a retired cop, and they passed around an e-mail through the members to call thier providers and ask about it.

dude go with koodo. their phones all kick ***, especially the keybo, which i have personally. and the plans are either pay as you talk or you get a certain amount of free minutes every month. and all the plans have unlimited text, and really cheap
-
what about a Samsung T336 they look close to the krzr and im guessing they're probably more durable??
-
-
Koodo sucks, trust me, go with a GSM phone, that way if you want a new phone in the future you just swap sim cards and go, Koodo operates on CDMA so if you want a new phone, you gotta go to Koodo and have them switch you over to another phone, that is assuming they even will.
-
well a change in plans has arrived and im wondering if Fido has the LG shine because the internet site fido.ca has all of 7 or 8 phones and i was told that was a quarter of the phones they acually carry. any thought?
-
moto all the way, i worked on a concert tour and most of the techs had motos and we dropped them texting all the time while hanging lights my phone fell a collective falling of 300 feet and the rig was 40 feet high
-
not the question i was asking but thanks for the info
-
no im sayin they are ridiculously rugged if i were lookin into how easy it is to break each phone moto a solid phone
-
ok i'll take that into consideration if anything it will be a krzr or a shine
-
krzr is a pile of junk if ur only gonna use the phone for a few months get that. becasue it wont laast a year. and the rumor is a piece of crap as well. there slow. and the charge is terrible. if ur serious about a phone ur gonna use. get a high end one like a blaxkberry or an iphone
-
still hasn't answered my question.... im leaning towards the LG shine but no ones told me if there usable with fido...
-
I work for Virgin mobile and can tell you that we have great plans. NO hidden fees in that no activation fee, no system access fees, no 911 fees, no fee to change your plan and we allow you to do so once a month, no cost to change your phone number if you ever move and we don't charge you a hardware upgrade fee if you ever decide to buy another phone.|
Virgin Mobile has won the JD Power awards for customer service 4 years running.
I have a contract with both Bell and Virgin Mobile, my Bell one has been reduced to the lowest possible rate since i do not want to pay the $400 fee to cancel it. With Virgin to cancel a plan it only costs $10 a month for the remaining months left on your contract. (EX: 10 months left, $100)
My advise is to look around and check out everyone.
Also, to give you some insight on some companies.
Bell, Telus, Virgin, Solo and several other companies run off of a CDMA network, meaning each phone is hardwired to each company, a Bell phone is a Bell phone and Virgin phone is Virgin.
Rogers and Fido run off of GSM network meaning they use SIM cards which are a pretty good system. Whenever you go to change your phone you can save your information to that SIM card and you data will not be lost.
Bell and Telus and those companies run off towers and Rogers/Fido run off Satelite. With me living in Fort McMurray and being so far north Rogers has very poor service but places like Edmonton, Calgary and Toronto i hear they are the best!

thanks man! So im officially on Fido now i just need and good phone and its looking like the sony ericsson W380a
