OK everyone, we have a few directions we go in the fall for league play.
I'd like to know what is most popular so we can get planning.

Open class league with unlimited hopper and zero pump gun restrictions. As long as it has a pump handle it counts
im thinking the only hopper restriction should be gravity fed. no force fed hoppers. carry as big as you like.
Really?
If you're going to do that you might was well allow mech semis as there isn't much difference from a CCM autotrigger and a cocker or automag shooting...
Have you guys seen some of the Auto-trigger monkeys shoot?
my opinion:
run the league exactly like the USPL pump div
aka. very little restrictions on equipment
this way if any edmonton team goes down to the states, the format, style and speed will be similar to how they practiced.
Are a lot of people heading down to play USPL events?
I'm not a fan of following anyone unless there is a good reason... of course if that's what the majority wants then whatever.
I never felt unlimited pump play was in the spirit of what we were trying to do. You'll see a complete arms race in that scenario, which is mostly what's happened in the states with their competitive pump play. When you can auto-trigger at 8-9BPS, you're basically playing 90's semi ball... then might as well make it a "no batteries league", that way more people can play. Hell I'd take a S6 over an old mech Spyder or cocker any day for firepower.
just my opinion
times are a chang'in
open league
Yes they can do 8-9 BPS on auto trigger with a gravity hopper, but how many can do it accurately?
If me and sean do a league this year we'll likely allow any size hopper thats not force fed. You wont 'pump lane' for more than 40 balls, so it wont make a difference anyway...

EDIT: MUCH of a difference... i dont think its serious enough to make a big deal out of
Why not force fed hoppers? I am in favor of less restrictions and more firepower
I voted for Open League, but actually thinking about it I would almost rather more rec. What if we had one pump night and one hopperball/pump night to see if there is an interest for a 50 cent league? Really, whatever you guys decide I'd be cool with.
open league is wicked i would not change a thing about it
the loader restriction allows people to still try stock class in a competitive setting with out too much fear. also... it limits the "arms race" factor.
keep league the way it is
'no batteries' league would be fun, but it doesn't focus on pump play.
i do however think we should do a no batteries night once in a while for rec.
Whatever format we go with, I still think 3-man teams would make it a bit more sustainable by making it easier to put teams together.
4 man made for more interesting games, more often.
Alright.. Is pump league over?
I wanna hock my pumps.
Do you mean for this year Faust? If so, yes it has been done since June.
At USPL HB, there wasn't much AT'ing. Off the break there was, and there were def. lull times. Even the top teams weren't all sporting AT's. The top teams even had a few stock class guys on them. The 'arms' race: wasn't.
If you hang out and try to AT you'd probably get shot and people did.
I'm for modified stock class; 10-15 shots horizontal to the body; any air source. 5 man teams. There would be less teams (maybe 4), but more games and a tighter core of players.
So who has a plan?
I'd be interested in possibly helping set up a SC league, not really interested in anything else at the moment. Someone going to take the ball and run with it or not?
I think this year might be rec for me, my team seems to have collapsed.
Ill make a team with you malcom. Murkers have gone to hell too
i want league to be back
After last Rec nite I am all about having a modified stock league ;)
normal league FTW!
OK so it looks there is no one to take over the reigns for the Pump League.
Unless someone is willing to step up and get this rolling I'm going to assume pump league isn't happening this season.
I will continue to book the Rec nights. If we start getting 20+ people consistently then I'll talk to Dale about booking two rec nights a month. Until then it looks like once a month for rec play.
A lot of people have moved, quit or just disappeared so it might take a bit of time to rebuild our numbers but I'm not concerned the small numbers tend to lead to very good games and even funner nights.
Quiet you I am not funny!
